I know I told you I only recently entered the world of making money online, but that is perhaps a lie. If you want to be pedantic, I suppose you could say that my journey as an internet marketer actually began when I was around 13 years old.

I was too young to get a paying job, so when a school friend told me that we could make 50 cents everytime someone clicked on an ad we put up, I was pretty excited. I had put up web pages before, so all we needed to do was come up with a way to get people to click on this ad of ours. I laugh at the idea now, but back then we thought it was fantastic. What we did was make a page with just our ad on it and a link to another page. But the trick was that people had to first click on our ad before they could go to the linked page. We found someone to code that for us in a chat room. After racking up about $2, someone dobbed us into the ad network and our account was disabled. I didn't bother pursuing this any further and went back to playing computer games.

Fast forward to 8 years later. I had just finished my third year of studying engineering at the best university in Australia. Although I had been at university for 3 years, I'd only managed to pass 1.5 years worth of subjects. My heart just wasn't in it and a part of me knew university wasn't for me, so I decided to take a year off to see what else the world had to offer.

Now, I knew people were making money online, but I had absolutely no idea how they were doing it. But the idea of working for yourself, from anywhere in the world, while earning a ridiculous amount of money really appealed to me. I knew I had to check this out.

It took me months of searching and reading before I really had any idea. There were just too many "gurus" peddling different things.

I've found some great products and some that I wouldn't give to my worst enemy.
