Making Money Online with eBay

If you're online, then you undoubtably know about eBay, the webs largest online auction site. What you may not know is that thousands of people are making a full time living, just by selling stuff.

Some things you need to consider are:
- Cost. It's not too smart selling something for less than you bought it for. If you can't buy things cheap, then it's not worth your time trying to sell them.
- Storage. Once again, it's not worth your time trying to sell tons of widgets if they take up more space than you have.
- Product Life Cycle. Pet rocks and chia pets may have sold well once, but chances are they aren't going to make you money for the rest of your life. In the short term, jumping on fad products like these can be profitable, but for the long term, you are going to need products that people continually want.
- Shipping. If the cost to ship something out to someone is too great, then that cheap widget you're selling is no longer a bargain.

Another concern, is where to find the things you are going to sell. There are two main ways of doing this. You can buy direct from a wholesaler and keep all the stock at your place. This means you also have to handle shipping. While this is cheaper and probably the best way to start off, it does involve a lot more work.

The second way is by dropshipping. With dropshipping, all you have to do is pass on the customers details and the dropshipper will do the rest. They do charge a fee, but it can be worth your time.
